Pinkies for Polio 2019

WE DID IT. We crushed our goal. Our community raised $1,050 toward the eradication of polio. With the match of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, we are sponsoring 1,050 polio vaccinations worldwide. YES. Bryant Rotary Club did this alongside our community.

We had over 25 businesses open their doors for us to educate their employees on the importance of eradication of polio in other countries. Starting in 1988, Rotary International made it their mission to eradicate this awful disease- there were over 300,000 active cases. We are down to under 100 cases around the world.

We have over 200 pinkie prints on our board this year. "I am so grateful for the support for this campaign. It has become a passion of mine to spread the word to help eradicate polio. With it not being in the US, many people do not know it still exists. Our club did their part to help an international cause. That in itself is so rewarding." - Bryant Rotary President, Shelby Joiner.

Thank you to our friends, community, business leaders, and fellow Rotarians for helping us make a difference in the world. We have to double our goal next year.....if we are lucky, we will not need to do this next year!
